A Pomodoro Timer is a mechanism intended to help you balance work and rest periods. The primary goal being to help you optimise concentration during the work periods.
There is a conventional pattern that this appliction uses by default. This comprises of four 25 minute work periods separated by a short 5-10 minute break. After the fourth work period, a longer rest period of 30-60 minutes should be taken before repeating the cycle.
In addition, there are two patterns orientated around the normal working day. The first is more suited to those that prefer to start early in the day, so might take a longer break later in the day. The second is for those who start later so, to coincide with other colleagues, take their longer break earlier in the day.
